BIOGRAPHIES OF ACTORS AND STAFF



TEVIA ABRAMS (Resident Playwright)--teviaabramsMr. Abrams’ newest work, THE VIEW FROM HARRY’S BAR, premieres at TAT during season 2003. This follows TAT’s successful premiere, in season 2001, of his drama, ERICA’S LAST MISSION. Mr. Abrams has also been represented in TAT's New Plays Reading Series with A SOUNDER SLEEP (an early title for ERICA'S LAST MISSION,) JOSEPH and JOSEPHINE, and  AFTER THE PRAGUE SPRING (JOSEPH & JOSEPHINE--revised.)

Educated in Canada, France and the United States, Mr. Abrams has a doctorate degree in theatre and communication, with research completed in India on the use of theatre to promote public participation in development programs. In 1972, he was appointed to the UN Population Fund in New York, and from 1990 through 1994, he served in New Delhi as the organization’s Country Director for India and Bhutan.

Before taking up his UN assignment, Mr. Abrams worked as a journalist and public information specialist in Montreal, and a number of his early television and theatre scripts were produced during this period. Now retired from UN service, Mr. Abrams has resumed writing for the stage. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Inc., and Playformers of New York.

Mr. Abrams’ other script production credits include: AND NO CEREMONY – award-wining one-act play produced on TV and on the stage in both Canada and the US (the TV productions included CBC, Canada, 1967, and WSJK-TV, Knoxville, 1970); REPORT TO THE COMMITTEE ON PORNOGRAPHY and  SERVICE IN TIME OF LOVE – two one-act plays produced by La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, New York, 1976; OUR FATHER IN VENICE, full-length book and lyrics; music by New York composer Richard Fagan, produced in showcase by Quebec Drama Festival, Montreal, 1974.  (Adapted from the Czech language in collaboration with Czech author Jan Pišta.); A TALE OF THE ONION OF INTELLIGENCE - one-act play adapted for the Western stage from an original full-length play by Marathi writer, Shankar Patil, and produced 1994 in New Delhi, with actors from the National School of Drama;  AMOEBA, one-act play, first produced at Michigan State University, 1969, with subsequent productions on TV ( WSJK-TV, Knoxville, 1970) and on stage in the US and Canada;  DEVIL IN THE ICE-BOX - full-length play produced by Evergreen Players for 1968 Quebec Region National Drama Festival, with one-act version produced by New Playwrights’ Theater, Michigan State University, 1970; BALLAD FOR A TWO-CAR GARAGE - full-length play with songs based on Gay’s The Beggars’ Opera and Brecht’s Threepenny Opera; produced by Georgian Players, Montreal, 1965; JOSEPH AND JOSEPHINE – teleplay produced by WMSB-TV, Lansing, Michigan, 1970, for Central Educational Network, with script awarded Citation of Honor in the 1970-71 Story Magazine College Creative Awards; also produced in translation in Israel by the National Broadcasting Authority; SPANISH BLUE - teleplay produced by CBC, Montreal, 1964.



JEANNE L. AUSTIN (Actor)-- jlaustin  played Irene in Tri-State's world premiere of Judylee Oliva's ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR during Season 2002.  She is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and a valued artist in Tri-State's professional ensemble. Other roles for Tri-State include the title role of Erica in ERICA'S LAST MISSION, Mary, in ON THE VERGERuth in  COLLECTED STORIES, Jeanne in ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN, A inEdward Albee’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, THREE TALL WOMEN , Amanda in THE GLASS MENAGERIE , Aunt Ruth in MARVIN'S ROOM and Maggie in DANCING AT LUGHNASA.   She has been a actor-reader many times in TAT's New Plays Readings Series.  She starred as Miss Daisy in DRIVING MISS DAISY at the African Globe Theatre, and as Mary Thomas in the New York premiere of AMERICAN STORY at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, created the role of Mother in INSOMNIA at Expanded Arts, and originated the role of Louise in BROTHERLY LOVE for Animated Theatreworks in New York City. She has appeared in regional, stock and dinner theaters in roles ranging from Rosalind in AS YOU LIKE IT (Theatre Project Company, St. Louis) to Big Mama in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (Oakland West Dinner Theatre, Ft. Lauderdale); and recently played Gertie in FUDDY MEERS for the Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival. Also a member of Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Radio and Television Artists, Ms. Austin has made radio and television commercials, was in the TV mini-series WOMEN IN WHITE, and had featured roles in the motion pictures THE FUNHOUSE, STUCKEY'S LAST STAND, and stars in Flying Cloud Films' MOTHER AND CHILD as a mother whose son is dying of AIDS. For HerStory Productions, she produces and performs one-woman plays based on historic women, including DUTY'S FAITHFUL CHILD; A VISIT WITH LOUISA MAY ALCOTT, CYCLONE IN CALICO: AN INTERVIEW WITH MARY ANN BICKERDYKE, and MARIE ZIMMERMAN: FAITHFUL TO NATURE. She presented WE LIVE BY THE WHISTLE: WOMEN OF THE STERLING HILL MINE, as a Monday Night Special Event for Tri-State in season 2002. For more than ten years, Ms. Austin was director of the One Accord Choir, a vocal group of developmentally disabled adults, and is currently the troupe trainer and performs with an educational puppet troupe(sponsored by SCARC), KIDS ON THE BLOCK that presents educational puppet plays in schools throughout northern New Jersey. Ms. Austin attended Mt. Holyoke College and holds a degree in Fine Arts/Drama from Colorado College.

ANNE BARCLAY (Actor)--abarclay, a member of Actors’ Equity Assoc., was "Mag Folan" in TAT's THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE in Season 2001. She appeared in the concert readings of Sean O'Leary's CLAUDIE HUKILL for TAT in 2002 and  O'Leary's POUND in Season 2003, and has also directed in the New Plays Reading Series. She started her career in Boston and Cambridge over thirty years ago working in political and experimental theater. She moved to New York in 1977 and has worked Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway and in regional theaters, at the Public Theater in New York and The Actors’ Theater in Louisville, among others. Ms. Barclay lives in Greenville, NY with 30 sheep, 1 donkey and 5 dogs. This is Ms. Barclay’s first season with TAT.


TARA BOWLES (Actor)--tarabowlesis marking her first stage appearance with TAT as Mrs. Dubose in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.  In addition Ms. Bowles appeaared in TAT's New Plays Readings Series in the Ron Osbornes's CHANGING SEASONS. She has worked as an actress, director and teacher.  Ms. Bowles was last seen as Eula Louise in NIGHT DUTY, an original play she directed for the Gotham Players in NYC.  Other NY productions include PENTHOUSE LEGEND, THE COUNTRY WIFE, FOOL FOR LOVE, AND WAITING FOR LEFTY.  She studied at the Stella Adler conservatory of Acting and taught for Miss Adler in NYC and LA.  She also taught at the National Shakespeare Conservatory, and the L'Ecole Cantonale D'Art, a school for film makers in Lausanne, Switzerland. Ms. Bowles will lead a scene workshop for advanced acting  this fall at TAT.

CHUCK CAUDILL, JR. (Actor)--chuckcaudillis making his first stage appearance with TAT as "Heck Tate" in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.   Mr. Caudill is a retired Navy commander. He is a founding member of Tempest Productions in Hoboken, NJ, and is in the MFA Program at the Actors Studio Drama School. Mr. Caudill
also studied at Herbert Berghoff Studios and with master acting teachers: Ron Leibman, Elizabeth Kemp and Sandy Dennis. Stage credits include I DO, I DO, LAUGHTER ON THE 23rd FLOOR, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, 1776, PYGMALION and DRACULA. He resides in Jackson, NJ with his wife Pam and children John and Beth.

JANE CUNNINGHAM (Actor)--janecunninghamplays "Scout" in  TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.  She is a sophomore at Wallkill Valley Reg. HS, Hardyston, NJ. Ms. Cunningham was a member of TAT’s 2002 Intern Company, performing in TARRADIDDLE TRAVELS. She has performed in WVRHS productions, playing Dorothy in THE WIZARD OF OZ and Louisa Von Trapp in THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Other stage credits include “Wagon Wheels West,” TOM SAWYER, and the title role in SNOW WHITE. Ms.Cunningham has been involved in chorus and band since fourth grade. She attended dance classes for four years. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with her friends, swimming, the trampoline, and riding the trails on her quad.

DREW CRANISKY (Actor)-- drewcraniskyplayed "Jem" in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD during Season 2003. A sophomore at Wallkill Valley Reg. HS,Hardyston,  Mr. Cranisky has appeared in over twenty community and school productions. In March he performed in TAT’s Student Intern presentation of TARRADIDDLE TRAVELS for AT&T’s 6th Annual Family Week at the Theater, and appears in the 2003 TAT INTERN COMPANY productions of GOLLIWHOPPERS and JACK AND THE BEANSTALK. His most recent role at WV was the “Tin Man” in THE WIZARD OF OZ. Other roles include “Howard” in INHERIT THE WIND at Cornerstone Playhouse, “Friederich” in THE SOUND OF MUSIC at WVRHS, “Jack” in the musical, JACK AND THE GIANT, presented by Little Lost Arts, and, as a member of the season 2001 TAT Intern Acting Company, he played “Lord Old” in THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES.

FRAN DECESARE (Actor)--frandecesare is making her first stage appearance with TAT as "Stefanie Crawford" in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD . Ms. DeCesare most recently appeared at the NY Comedy Club with the improv comedy troupe “The Grown-Ups Playground.” She has also appeared in several independent films. Ms. DeCesare holds a BFA in Speech and Theater and also studied at Herbert Berghoff Studios with Mr. Berghoff. Currently she is teaching acting and playwriting for children through the Playwrights Theater in Madison and with the Shoestring Players at Rutgers University, New Brunswick.

JONATHAN DEWBERRY (Actor)--jondewberry is making his first stage appearance with TAT as "Reverend Sykes" in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Mr. Dewberry is an accomplished actor, director and singer. His extensive credits include BLUES FOR MISTER CHARLIE at Judson Memorial Church, NYC, HAMLET with the American Globe Theater, ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE, AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, “Jason” in MEDEA, and “Judas Iscariot” in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Recent TV appearances include Saturday Night Live and As the World Turns. Directing credits include IN WHITE AMERICA, NO EXIT, THE TROJAN WOMEN, and ANYTHING GOES. He has toured regionally with his one-man show honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THE GLORY. Thank you, God, for the blessings. Love to Lady Sarah.

DINA DREW (Actor)--Dina Drew has appeared in several stage productions in New York and regionally including: Expanded Arts, THE TURNIP (15 Minute Play contest), the debut of  THE BAGEL BAKER'S DAUGHTER and most recently presented a One Woman Show at the Producer’s Club in New York. She has also appeared in several independent films including THE DROP, which was just screened at the Anthology Film Archives in New York.  She works regularly on the soaps including:  ONE LIFE TO LIVE, AS THE WORLD TURNS, and GUIDING LIGHT, and has done various commercials including:  ABC-TV Eyewitness News and Comcast Cable. In addition to her performance in TAT's world premiere this season, Ms. Drew will also perform in the 3rd annual NEW PLAYS READINGS SERIES. She is very excited to be making her debut with Tri-State Actors Theatre as Hollie in ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR  and would like to thank her family and friends for all of their love and support. 

MICHAEL GABIANO (Actor)--michaelgabianoMost recently, Mr. Gabiano starred as Crumpet in Tri-State's Christmas offering of David Sedaris' hilarious SANTALAND DIARIES, which inaugurated TAT's new home, the historic Crescent Theater. Season 2002's  ART marked Mr. Gabiano's debut on the TAT stage. Recent NYC Credits include AWAKEN THE WOLVES (Raw Space; Spotlight On Productions), SMORGASBORD! (Duplex Cabaret Theatre), BACKSTAGE BITCHES (78th St. Theatre Lab), CUTE BOYS IN THEIR UNDERPANTS (Vortex Theater Co./Sanford Meisner Theater). He is a company member of both NJ Repertory Company and 12 Miles West Theatre. With NJ Rep he was featured in IMMORTAL INTERLUDE, THE GIANT PRINCESS,  and RAFT OF THE MEDUSA. Other regional roles include Salieri (AMADEUS), Jeffrey (JEFFREY), and Tony (LOVER: THE VALENTINO MUSICAL). Mr. Gabiano has toured nationally with TheatreWorks/USA and National Theatre for the Performing Arts, and was seen in the film, HIT AND RUN AWAY. His favorite roles include Feste (TWELFTH NIGHT), David/Crumpet (THE SANTALAND DIARIES), and Noble, et al (LITTLE ME). He holds a BA in Theatre from Western CT State University and is a member of Actors Equity Association.

GREG GIBLIN (Actor)--g gilbinplays "Judge Taylor" in TAT's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. He appeared for the first time with TAT as Greg in ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTENMr. Giblin has also acted in TAT's New Plays Readings Series. He has performed as part of many singing groups and has worked on numerous musicals and plays throughout the Northeast and the Midwest since the mid 1960’s. His most memorable performances were the jazz masses performed with Duke Ellington in 1968 and 1969 and touring with Jimmy Sturr’s Christmas show in 1998 and 1999. His favorite musical theater roles include “Juan Peron” in EVITA, “Colonel Gilweather’’ in SOMETHING'S AFOOT, and “Marcus Lycus” in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM done in Monroe, NY. He was selected the best supporting actor in a musical in 1992 by The Times Herald-Record for his creation of the character “Rhino Wino” in the original musical EARTHBOUND. Mr. Giblin’s stage career has also covered a wide range of roles in both comedies and dramas. He has played “John Hale” in THE CRUCIBLE, “Big Daddy” in CAT ON A HOT TINE ROOF, as well as leads in THUNDER ROCK, PROMETHEUS BOUND, and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE. He recently completed a run as “Sheridan Whiteside” in THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER. Greg runs his own small production company. He lives with his wife, Beverly. They have three sons in college.

KERR GRABOWSKI (Costume Designer)-- joined TAT as costume designer and coordinator in Season 2002, designing cosstumes for I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE, TALLEY'S FOLLY, ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR, ARTand created original hand-printed pieces for TARRADIDDLE TRAVELS. for season 2003, Ms. Graboswski has already created the designs for TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, and will design the wardrobes for ALWAYS ... PATSY CLINE.  She has a twenty year history as a fiber artist, marked by her constant experimentation and innovative approaches to dyeing and screening processes. She is the developer of Deconstructed Screen printing, a technique allowing for a freer, more painterly approach to screen printing.  Formerly Artist in Residence at Peters Valley Craft Center in NJ, Ms. Grabowski now maintains a studio in Sussex, NJ. She received a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship and her work has been published in Ornament, Surface Design Journal, Fiber Arts Design Book Six andSilk Painting for Fashion and Fine Art.  Ms. Grabowski is an Instructor at Montclair State University in NJ and teaches workshops in all aspects of surface design.

MARY ANN HAY (Actor)--mahayMs. Hay is very happy to be working again at TAT in featured roles in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD and the premiere of  THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR.  She played  Sally Talley in Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer-Prize winning TALLEY'S FOLLY and Diane in the world premiere of Judylee Oliva's ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR in TAT's SEASON 2002.   where she was seen last year as Maureen in THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE.  Other theatre credits include Bessie in MARVIN'S ROOM, also for Tri-State; the first National Company of EVITA directed by Harold Prince; the last National Company of A CHORUS LINE directed by Michael Bennett; Popeye in THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST;Minnie Fay in THE MATCHMAKER and "Agnes" in GEORGE M!, along with many other roles in the theatre, film, TV and commercials.  She has recently directed MUSIC MAN, JR., GUY & DOLLS, JR, ANNIE, JR. and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, JR. in collaboration with ArtsConnection and Music Theatre International in New York City.  She is a member of SAG, AFTRA, AEA, Theatre Artists Workshop of Westport and Polaris North in New York City.  Mary Ann thanks Paul, Patricia and all involved with TAT for these wonderful opportunities and her family and friends for their loving support.

SUZANNE HAYES (Actor*)--Suzanne Hayes appearing for the first time at Tri-State Actors Theater, Ms. Hayes portrayed Louise in the hit musical, ALWAYS ... PATSY CLINE.  Ms. Hayes was born and raised in Texas, got her acting training at Circle in the Square in New York City and now makes her home there with her filmmaker husband, Michael, and their two dogs and two cats. Favorite roles include Essie in YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, Gwendolyn in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, Olivia in TWELFTH NIGHT and Trinculo in THE TEMPEST. Most recently , she played Henry VI in HENRY VI, Parts 1, 2, & 3 for Judith Shakespeare at the Jose Quintero Theatre. She received a Best Actress Award at the 2000 Brooklyn Film Festival for THE SPIRAL, directed by her husband. She has also been seen in numerous commercials over the years and is thrilled to be doing Louise here at Tri-State Actor's Theatre. *Ms. Hayes is a member of Actors Equity Association.

KATHRYN “CHINA” HAYZER (Stage Manager*)--chinahayzer will stage manage TAT's Season 2003. A member of Actors’ Equity Assoc., she is proud to be a part of TAT’s family. She most recently returned from an Off-Broadway road tour of FORBIDDEN BROADWAY. NYC Stage Managerial credits include: A DIFFERENT MAN for the Vortex Theatre Co., POSSESSED at HERE, TIMESLIPS presented by the Brookdale Center on Aging, and CROCKER LAND during the Kaufman Theatre’s Mentor Project (Michael Weller, mentor). She has also worked as Production Stage Manager for NBC’s live performance space in SoHo, PSNBC. Ms. Hayzer runs Kat2 Productions, catering to independent musicians. She holds a BFA from Montclair State University. She owes it all to inspiration and also to Casey.



DAVID HILDENBRAND (Electrician)--davehildenbrand joined Tri-State Actors Theatre as an advanced intern trainee in technical theater during season 2002 and presently holds the senior staff position of Electrician and Lighting and Sound Technician for 2003.  Mr. Hildenbrand attended Plymouth State College where he was a design/technician major working toward a BA in Theatre Arts with a minor in music. He was an electrician for the Silver Cultural Arts Center where he worked on several productions including AIN'T MISBEHAVIN', GRAND DERANGMENT, and the concert of the VANGUARD JAZZ ORCHESTRA.  As a lighting and sound technician for Pax Amicus Castle Theatre in Budd Lake, he teched THINGS YOU SHOULDN'T SAY PAST MIDNIGHT and DRACULA. For Highland Stage, he was Master Electrician for INTO THE WOODS.  A graduate of Newton High School, Mr. Hildenbrand was noted for his leadership abilities.  He was named drum major of the high school band, trained technical crews for the school theater, and designed and lit several school productions including PIPPIN, GREASE, and choral and orchestra concerts.  In 2001, he received the "Emerging Leader" award from the Community Service Learning Center at Plymouth State College.  Mr. Hildenbrand lives in Vernon with mother, father, sister, 2 dogs and 4 cats. He hopes for a career in lighting design. Among his design efforts for TAT this season are design assistant for TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, ALWAYS . . . PATSY CLINE and THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR.

NORA HUMMEL  (Actor*)--N Hummel made  her TAT debut in ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN in season 2000. Having recently completed the role of Charlotte in a New York run of BEYOND THERAPY with AYI Productions, she was happy to be portray the calmer, saner "Nora".  Recent roles include Mrs. Gibbs in OUR TOWN at The Bickford Theater in Morris Township, Mrs. Greenway (the witch) in RAPUNZEL with Grove Street Playhouse, NYC, Kathy Khorus in FREEZE, Elmire in TARTUFFE with Rabbit in the Moon, and Wanda in THE POWER AND THE GLORY with Bravo Theater Productions. Nora has been onSATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and in the pilot television show GALACTICA CENTER as Mother Nature. She would, as always, like to thank her family for their continued support and her Kindergarten teacher at Stockton School in East Orange for her hard work. Ms. Hummel is a member of Actors Equity Association.

MARK IRISH (Paul)--irishis a graduate of Dartmouth College and an alumnus of the Eugene O’Neill National Theatre Institute. After touring for six months, Mr. Irish is very happy to be back in New Jersey where he has lived for over 16 years after leaving his native state, Maine. He feels fortunate to be joining Tri-State’s family with Mr. Abrams’ THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR. Other original works that Mr. Irish has performed in include the world premier of CIVIL UNION at the Oldcastle Theatre in Vermont, the critically acclaimed TROPHIES at the Cherry Lane Theater, NYC, and MEN! THE MUSICAL at the Edinburg Festival in Scotland. Other favorite roles include “Elyot” in PRIVATE LIVES at Blowing Rock Stage Co., “Clifford” in DEATHTRAP at Fleetwood Stage, and “Biff” in DEATH OF A SALESMAN at the Mill Mountain Playhouse. Mr. Irish has done hundred of voice overs and commercials, appeared on all the New York based soapes and worked on numerous films including REGARDING HENRY and SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE. Mr. Irish is a member of Actors’ Equity Association.


PHARAH JEAN-PHILIPPE (Actor)--pharpajeanphillipe is making her first stage appearance with TAT as Calpurnia in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Her stage credits include THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, MONSTERS AND MARVELS, SEA ISLAND NIGHTMARE, FOR COLORED GIRLS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE WHEN THE RAINBOW IS ENUF, PARADOX IN GAY MINOR and JAMAICA. Ms. Jean-Philippe has worked in film, television, industrials and commercials. She studied with Ariane Brandt, Bill Duke, and Jeanne Kaplan of HB Studios. She is a member of the New Jersey Repertory Company. Ms. Jean-Philippe would like to thank all of her family and friends for their support and Jesus, her Lord God and Savior, from which all blessings flow (Lam 3:21-23).

AMANDA JONES (Actor)amandajones Ms. Jones joined TAT for the first time in Season 2000 in the role of Sylvia, the hilarious pooch, who gives its name to SYLVIA, by A.R. Gurney.  Ms. Jones, a founding member of The Genesis Repertory Ensemble in NYC, was featured most recently as one of the Wierd Sisters in GRE's MACBETH.  She was Juliet in ROMEO AND JULIET, Bianca in OTHELLO, and Edith in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE--all for GRE.  She appeared as Ophelia (HAMLET) and Sarah (WHISKEY DOWN)in the Million Stories Festival, and was Gwendolyn in Tom Stoppard's TRAVESTIES.  Other roles on the New York stage include Mattie in ENVIRONMENT AND EVELYN, and Luce in THE KNIGHT OF THE BURNING PESTLE.  Beyond New York, she has played Belinda Cratchit (A CHRISTMAS CAROL) for the North Shore Music Theater, and was featured in other roles including Angie (TOP GIRLS); Thomasina (ARCADIA); Hermia (A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM); Christina (DANCING AT LUGHNASA), and Marianne (TARTUFFE).  Ms. Jones is a graduate in Theatre of Dartmouth College, and has studied acting with Karen Kohlhaas (Atlantic Theater Co.) and vocal production  with Ariel Bock (Shakespeare and Co).  She performed the role of Alex in Season 2001's closing production, ON THE VERGE, or The Geography of Yearning.

JOHN KINSMAN (Actor)--jkinsman  made his debut with TAT as Ray Dooley in THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE in season 2001 . Growing up outside of Boston, John began acting at an early age with the Concord Youth Theater, The New Theater, and The Boston Baked Theater. While attending Syracuse University to obtain a BFA in Drama, he had the good fortune to play Gerry in Brian Friel’s DANCING AT LUGHNASA. John’s New York credits nclude: CYMBELINE: REFINISHED! with The Theater Company, BEREFT with The Morphic Group, SALOME at The Chelsea Playhouse, and Sir John Falstaff in Ring of Fire Productions’ HENRY IV. As always, John thanks his family and friends for their continued support.



BRITTANY KNOLL (Actor)--BRITTANYKNOLL A freshman at WVRHS, Ms. Knoll joined TAT’s intern company last season in TARRADIDDLE TRAVELS. In March she reprised her role in TAT’s Student Intern presentation of TARRADIDDLE TRAVELS for AT&T’s 6th Annual Family Week at the Theater. Ms. Knoll is portraying various characters in  TAT's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. She is a member of WV chorus and select chorus and was in WV’s production, THE WIZARD OF OZ. At Franklin Elementary School, she was in THE LITTLE MERMAID and The White Rabbit in ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Brittany was in the Franklin Elem. School chorus and select chorus. She studied jazz at Dance Expression. Brittany plays the French horn and enjoys horsebackriding. Ms. Knoll will be a senior member of the TAT Intern Acting Company for Season 2003, and will appear in GOLLIWHOPPERS and JACK and the BEANSTALK.

LYNN LAURENCE (Actor)--laurenceis delighted to be making her debut at TAT in THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR. Her regional and New York credits include: THE RAINMAKER and LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST at American Stage; HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE at Florida Studio; BOOK OF DAYS for Shadowland Theatre; BUS STOP, THE COCKTAIL HOUR and BROADWAY BOUND for Bristol Valley Theatre; RECKLESS for Kaleidoscope Theatre and THE HOT L BALTIMORE and PICNIC for American Globe. She can also be spotted as various moms, nurses, law associates and fish monger’s wives in PROM NIGHT, LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT; TWO WEEKS NOTICE and the upcoming DOOR IN THE FLOOR. TOM LI TRENTA (Actor, )--litrenta returns to the TAT stage in several roles in the premiere of THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR after making his first stage appearance with TAT as Boo Radley and Nathan Radley in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. He has appeared as a stereotypical American boyfriend for the Japanese TV show “Tell Me Amigo,” as Bob in LOOSE KNIT at Highland Stage, and on “The Ricki Lake Show.” A lifelong Sussex-Wantage resident, his talents include writing, drawing, photography, freestyle rapping, and videomaking. He plans on a prolific film acting career and world travel. But he will always give back to the town that shaped him.

JOHN LITTLE (Actor*)--jlittle is delighted to return to Tri-State Actors Theater as Atticus Finch in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD and Amethyst in THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR. A long-time member of Actors Equity Association, he played Pato  in THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE during Season 2001, and returned in 2002 as Matt Friedman in TALLEY'S FOLLY and HB Larson in the world premiere of ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR.  Last season, he also  played Atticus in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at the Theatre Project in Massachusetts, and Wargrave in TEN LITTLE INDIANS at Worcester Foothills Theatre.  He is a Yale School of Drama graduate and has worked at regional theaters across the country and in Europe.  In New York he was in TOO NOBLE BROTHERS, produced by the Public Theatre, CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS at the New Federal Theatre, and DEAR OSCAR at the Perry Street Theatre. Mr. Little’s regional work includes MAJOR BARBARA at Yale Rep, PYGMALION at Syracuse Stage, NOISES OFF at the Barter Theater, OUT OF ORDER at Paper Mill Playhouse, GLIMMERGLASS at Goodspeed and PRIVATE LIVES and SPRINGTIME FOR HENRY at Centenary Stage. He has toured New York in ANGEL STREET, New England in LIGHT UP THE SKY and Canada in SCROOGE. At the Lycian Centre in Sugar Loaf, he played Don Quixote in MAN OF LA MANCHA and Col. Gilweather in SOMETHING’S AFOOT.  Last summer he was in TAKING STEPS and THE PRICE at the Summer Theatre at Mt. Holyoke College, THE WEIR at New Century Theatre, OUR TOWN and CAPTAINS AND COURAGE at the AmeriCulture Arts Festival.  John lives in NYC with his wife Amy and  children Eleonora and Joel.

JEFF LOWCHER (Actor)--jefflocher Returns to the TAT mainstage to play the Mayor in THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR AFTER making his theatrical debut with TAT as Walter Cunningham in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. He has appeared in a variety of roles for several independent film productions, HBO’s The Sopranos, as well as, corporate industrail video projects, commercials and commerical print.
 
 



BRIAN MASLOW (Actor)--brianmaslow is making his first stage appearance withTAT as "Bob Ewell" in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. He graduated from the Mason Gross School of the Arts with a BM in music performance. Mr. Maslow also studied acting at the School for Film and TV in NYC. Most recently, he worked in the feature film “Mona Lisa Smile” starring Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst and Julia Stiles. He is a resident of Byram and aspires to a professional career in film, TV, and theater.
 



PATRICIA MEACHAM (Managing Director)--p l meachambegan her professional career not in management, but as a walk-on and stage hand in dinner theatres in Florida, Colorado and Kentucky. After the small parts, working wardrobe,and moving scenery, came Ms. Meacham's entry into arts management through the box office staffs of the Public Theater, Carnegie Hall, Mercer Arts Center, and the Vivian Beaumont at Lincoln Center, where she soon moved up to the position of Subscription Assistant to the Manager at the NY City Opera and New York City Ballet. Following subscription management positions with the Metropolitan Opera and Philadelphia Orchestra, she married Mr. Meacham, moved to Sussex County, took part in the founding of Ranger Summer Theater, became its Managing Director and Costume Designer and Coordinator. Her designs may be seen in the archives of TAT's productions over the years including 1997's WINNIE THE POOH, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, 1999's THREE TALL WOMEN, TOM SAWYER, a Musical, and THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WLLM SHKSPR, abridged, last season's COLLECTED STORIES, and season 2001's THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE and FOREVER PLAID.  Ms. Meacham continues as Managing Director of Tri-State Actors Theater, bringing over twenty years of arts management experience to her responsibilities at TAT. Besides TAT, Ms. Meacham also manages her family, has served as area manager for the Girl Scouts of America, and is active in teaching computer skills to elementary level children.

PAUL MEACHAM (Artistic Director and Actor*)-- pmeacham  Mr. Meacham is the founder
and artistic director of TRI-STATE ACTORS THEATER,  for which he has directed Brian Friel's DANCING AT LUGHNASA, MARVIN'S ROOM, Tennessee Williams' THE GLASS MENAGERIE, I HATE HAMLET, Dicken'sA CHRISTMAS CAROL, Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN, Donald Margulies' COLLECTED STORIES, and the musical adaptation of Robert Fulghum's ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN, season 2001's THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE and ON THE VERGE .  He has staged many children's musicals, including WINNIE THE POOH, CHARLOTTE'S WEB and THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS.    He has directed and appeared professionally as an actor for nearly thirty years. Mr. Meacham performed Off-Broadway with Frank Langella and Diane Wiest in Arthur Miller's AFTER THE FALL; in FIGHTING BOB, which he also produced; in the long-running hit, THE PASSION OF DRACULA; and was a member of the acting company of the Classic Stage Company(two years), playing featured roles in TWELFTH NIGHT, THE TEMPEST, THE HOMECOMING, THE LADY'S NOT FOR BURNING, WOYZECK, ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDERNSTERN ARE DEAD and others. He was a founding member of the innovative WPA Theater, where he acted and directed for five seasons including directing the musical, CHARLATANS, for which he wrote the book and lyrics, and Tevia Abrams' AND NO CEREMONY. On television, he has appeared in commercials and on "soaps," including ONE LIFE TO LIVE and ALL MY CHILDREN, and adapted and produced Edgar Allen Poe's WILLIAM WILSON for the small screen. BRIAN O'HALLORAN (Actor)--brian o'halloranreturns to TAT in Season 2003 to play Charlie Conlon in the international hit Irish comedy, STONES IN HIS POCKETS, by Marie Jones .Mr. O'Halloran joined TAT in season 2002 in the role of Yvan in Yasmina Reza's ART last season. He has performed in numerous theater and film productions. His theater credits include: FOUR DOGS AND A BONE, TRANSLATIONS, DANCING AT LUGHNASA, SYLVIA, WAIT UNTIL DARK, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, THE DRESSER, DRACULA, and CRIMES OF THE HEART. As a member of NJ Rep, he starred in A WORLD I NEVER MADE and AN UNHAPPY WOMAN. Brian is most recognized for his work in films. His credits include Kevin Smith's CLERKS, MALLRATS, CHASING AMY, DOGMA, and JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK. He currently can be seen in theaters in the film VULGAR. He starred in the animated TV series CLERKS, which is being made into a feature film. He was last seen on the Tonight Show in the short film THE FLYING CAR.  He can be seen next in the romantic comedy DROP DEAD ROSES, to be in theaters soon.

LIZ PROEPPER (Technical Director/Associate Director, Intern Program)-- liz proepperjoined TAT in Season 2002 as a stage management intern and returns in 2003 as a full fledged member of the Artistic and Technical staff. Ms. Proeper is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, holding a degree in Theatre Design and Technology.  While living in Madison, she had the pleasure of participating in many theatrical events both in and out of the university community.  Ms. Proepper was on the technical staff of the University of Wisconsin Opera and the Madison Repertory Theater. Her stage management credits include THE FALSETTOS, STILL LIFE WITH IRIS, BART THE TEMP, SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION, and IO and HIM and the TROUBLE WITH HER.  Her designs for Tri-State include Season 2003"s THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR. Ms. Proeper will oversee TAT's 2003 Intern Program and co-direct both children's plays -- GOLLIWHOPPERS and JACK and the BEANSTALK. She is thrilled to be expanding her experience with Tri-State Actors Theater.

JOANES PROSPER (Actor)--joanesprosper is making his first stage appearance with TAT as Tom Robinson in
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD . He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. Some of his off-Broadway stage credits include THE MAKING OF THE BLACK MAN at the Theatre for the New City, A DIFFERENT HOPE at Carnegie Hall, GETTING OUR PROPS at B. Smiths, and THE BOX at Roger Furman Theatre. Mr. Prosper’s television appearances include “Sex in the City,” “Oz,” and “Ed.” Film work includes several shorts and two feature films. He is
currently wrapping production on the feature film “Women at Steak” and stars in the film, “Behind the Ropes.” Mr. Prosper would like to thank God, his family, friends and manager for their support. He also gives huge thanks to TAT for this opportunity.

KRISTIN REEVES  (Actor*)--k reevesportrayed Kate in A.R. Gurney's comedy, SYLVIA, during Season 2000, and  returned in Season 2001 as Fanny in Eric Overmyer's ON THE VERGE.  Her NY credits include SIMPLE DEATH for Ubu Repertory, THE LIVING SECTION, Bayou Musical Theatre, DREAMS OF THE SON at the Westside Theatre; and ROUNDHEADS AND PEEKHEADS for the Classic Theatre.  Regionally, Ms. Reeves has performed Juliet(ROMEO AND JULIET) and Julia(TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA) at the Old Globe Theatre, San Diego; Lady Macbeth(MACBETH); Rosalind(AS YOU LIKE IT); Olivia(TWELFTH NIGHT) and other shakespearean roles at the Nevada Shakespeare Festival; THE UTTER GLORY OF MORRISEY HALL for the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts; several plays for the Hilberry Repertory Theatre (Michigan), including PYGMALION(Eliza Doolittle); ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR(Eva), and LOOK HOMEWARD, ANGEL(Laura).  At the Richard Basehart Theatre in Los Angeles, she played among others, Titiana in A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM and Miss Casewell in THE MOUSETRAP.  On television, Ms. Reeves played recurring roles on LOVING and GENERAL HOSPITAL, and was featured on MIAMI VICE.  She has appeared in films (POWER/ AUTHOR, AUTHOR/ AMITYVILLE II) and has been heard on National Public Radio. She holds an MFA in Theatre from Wayne State University, and is a member of Actors Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild.

KENDAL RIDGEWAY (Actor)-- Ms. Ridgeway  made her Tri-State debut as Jackie in ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR, a new play by Judylee Oliva presented in 2002. She also acted in TAT's New Plays Reading Series, and is a long time member of New Jersey Repertory Company where she originated the roles of Nell in A WORLD I NEVER MADE, and Sally Cubbage in OCTET; and  recently performed in the acclaimed NJ premier of THE LARAMIE PROJECT. Past theatre credits include Cora in RAFT OF THE MEDUSA, Rita in PRELUDE TO A KISS, Joann in A FEW GOOD MEN, Chris in DANCING AT LUGHNASA, Constanze in AMADEUS, Brooke in NOISES OFF, and Emily in OUR TOWN. She was privileged to have performed the role of Hamlet in a gender-bending workshop of HAMLET last summer in New York. But her favorite role is that of the Little Red Haired girl to her own beloved Charlie Brown.

KELLIE ROBERTS (Sadie)--robertsis happy to be back on stage in THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR with TAT. Most recently she appeared on TV in an episode of “Third Watch.” Some of her other stage credits include the Off-Off Broadway production of YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TOLD at Playwright’s Horizon and SHELTER: REFUGEES OF THE AMERICAN DREAM at The Harlem Theater Company. She also played the lead in the film short, STRIKE, which was shown at both the Roxbury and Black Harvest Film Festivals. Ms. Roberts is a former student of Maggie Flanigan of the Maggie Flanigan Studio’s (formerly an instructor at William Esper Studios.) She would like to thank God, her family and close friends, especially her husband, Tony, and Frances Lozada.

ERIK SINGER (Actor)--Suzanne Hayes Erik is pleased to be making his debut for Tri-State Actors Theater as Jake Quinn in   STONES IN HIS POCKETS.  Theatrical credits include the title role in THE HOSTAGE at NYC's acclaimed Irish Repertory Theater, GROSS INDECENCY: THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE (BoarsHead Theatre), and THE TEMPEST (Vermont Stage Company.)  He has also appeared on ALL MY CHILDREN and AS THE WORLD TURNS; and was the voice of Vincent Van Gogh in the recent A&E BIOGRAPHY about Van Gogh and Gauguin.  He narrated the audiobook of the best-selling The Dogs of Babel, by Carolyn Parkhurst, as well as the upcoming The Five People You Meet in Heaven,by Mitch AlbomErik is a graduate of Yale University and the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He lives in Manhattan with his girlfriend and their two house bunnies, Portia and Sebastian.


DAVID VOLIN (Actor*)--davidvolina member of Actors’ Equity Assoc., joined TAT’s acting company in 2001 with featured roles in two productions - Jason Maxwell in ERICA’S LAST MISSION by Tevia Abrams and all the Male Roles in ON THE VERGE, or The Geography of Yearning. In 2002, he appeared as Marc in TAT’s production of the award-winning comedy-drama, ART. He returns in Season 2003 as Saul ini the premiere of THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR. Most recently, Mr. Volin was seen in THE COMMEDIA PINOCCHIO  and TALES FROM THE GARDEN at The Growing Stage and rogerandtom at Personal Space Theatrics in NYC. Other credits include: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM at Holmdel Theatre Company, RAFT OF THE MEDUSA and THE LARAMIE PROJECT at New Jersey Repertoy Company, TRANSLATIONS and THE MOUSETRAP at Shadow Lawn Summer Stage, and several plays for White Buffalo Theatre Company and the Chekhov Acting Company, and a two month residency with the Bloobsberg Theatre Ensemble performing in ARCADIA by Tom Stoppard.

GWEN WALKER (Actor*)--Gwen Walkeris pleased to be making her TAT debut in the title role of the hit musical, ALWAYS . . . PATSY CLINE. Gwen was most recently seen at the York Theatre as Mrs. Morgan in ORPHAN TRAIN and as Mrs. Harris in HOW NOW DOW JONES. Before that, she played Mrs. Durfee in Goodspeed Opera House's LIZZIE BORDEN. She  toured the country playing the delightfully witchy role of Lady Beaconsfield in the hit musical, JEKYLL & HYDE. Regional credits include: Anna in THE KING AND I; Marian in THE MUSIC MAN; Sue Ellen in the second production of Ted Swindley's HONKY TONK ANGELS; and  Woman #2 in I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE. Gwen can be seen next at Delaware's Henlopen Theatre Project as Woman One in SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. She holds a Master of Music in voice from Temple University in Philadelphia. Ms. Walker is a member of Actors Equity Association.

KEN WIESINGER (Director)--ken wiesingerOver the past decade, Mr. Wiesinger has acted, produced, and directed in regional theatres, summer stock, and national tours.  As a resident director for New Jersey Repertory Company, he staged the 10th anniversary production of RAFT OF THE MEDUSA, and directed the New Jersey premiere of THE LARAMIE PROJECT, which drew universal critical acclaim, including the critical praise from the NJ Star-Ledger and the New York Times. Staged readings for NJRep include SLAVE SHACK and THE SPANISH JADE.  Other directing credits include TheatreworksUSA's AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS; YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU; ROMEO AND JULIET; THE ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN NEATO-MAN, and the professional premiere of STATE OF MINDART marks Mr. Wiesinger's directing debut with Tri-State Actors Theater. He will direct the NJ professional premiere of STONES IN HIS POCKETS for TAT in Season 2003


JASON WILDMAN (Drummer)--wildmanis appearing for the first time with TAT in the premiere of THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR.  He is a drummer with many disparate influences, which together form his uniquely personal approach - often blending supple, sophisticated time and texture, funky trip-hop grooves, and ethnic soundscapes. He is steadfastly rooted in tradition while relentlessly pursuing the precious unexpected moments in music. Wildman’s multi-faceted flexibility has allowed him to seamlessly shift from performing in a trio with old-school veterans Freddy Cole and Keter Betts to playing with the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, to interpreting new compositions with Ray Anderson, to playing completely free with Kenny Werner. Since moving to New York, Wildman has also peroformed, toured or recorded with artists including Stanley Turrentine, Dick Oatts, Bobby Watson, Mark Egan, Jim McNealy, Jay Leonhart, Phil Markowitz, Scott Robinson and Jon Faddis.


PAUL ZAHOROSKY (Scenic Artist)--  is returning to TAT for his second consecutive season after an absence of six years. His previous set work for TAT includes THE ADVENTURES OF BRER RABBIT, I HATE HAMLET, and NARNIA. While a student at  Wallkill Valley RHS, he created the mise en scene for THE GRAPES OF WRATH. Mr. Zahorosky also attended Governor’s School, where he studied art. His scenic textures were seen in COLLECTED STORIES, ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN, THE VELVETEEN RABBIT, and SYLVIA during Season 2000. Mr. Zahorosky continued to produce colors for TAT in Season 2001 with THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE , FOREVER PLAID, ERICA'S LAST MISSION,THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES, and ON THE VERGE. His scenic artistry continued to grace the stage of  TAT throughout Season 2002 and will finish every set in Season 2003, including TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
