IAN AUGUST (Actor)--Ian August is proud to be making his debut at Tri-State Actors Theater as Crumpet the Elf in SANTALAND DIARIES, and even more proud to be filling in the pointy-toed shoes of last year's SANTALAND DIARIST Michael Gabiano.  New York credits for Mr. August include GLUE (Cherry Lane Theater Alternative Space), PRESUMED RETARDED (Manhattan Theater Club), THE SOUND OF WAVES (Mabou Mines), and the documentary rock-opera oratorio (docurockoprorio) 911--THE BOOK OF JOB (LaMama), as well as performances at the Raw Space, New Dramatists, and the BMI Music Theater Workshop.  Regional credits include THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM (12 Miles West), FOREVER PLAID, CRIMES OF THE HEART (Bickford Theater), A WONDERFUL LIFE (Surflight Theater), A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, PAGEANT, PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE (Forum Theater), IMMORTAL INTERLUDE, PANAMA and Ken Wiesinger's production of RAFT OF THE MEDUSA (New Jersey Repertory Company).  Ian has also had the privilege of performing as a special guest artist for folk singer Christine Lavin during an early incarnation of her show GETTING IN TOUCH WITH MY INNER B*TCH, also at New Jersey Rep.  Most recently, Ian revisited the Forum Theater Company's production of PAGEANT at the Cuillo Center for the Arts, located in West Palm Beach, Florida.  He has also performed at the McCarter Theater and the George Street Playhouse, and is a proud member of the 12 Miles West Theater Company and the New Jersey Repertory Company.  In addition to stage acting, Ian is a playwright, fire-eater, and voice-over actor.  To hear his V/O talents, go to www.shutupandtalk.com and click on "Male Actor Demo."  To see him eat fire, invite him to parties.  To read his plays, just ask nicely.  Many thanks go to assorted friends and collective family, plus Ken and the staff and crew of Tri-State.  Additional thanks go to the hard working men and women of Macy's, without whom many of us would not be dressed, and certainly this play would not have been written.

KEN WIESINGER (Director)--ken wiesingerKen last worked with Tri-State Actors Theatre in 2002, directing the last show at the Garris Center in Branchville (Yasmina Reza's ART) and the first offering at TATs new home in Sussex (David Sedaris' THE SANTALAND DIARIES).  He recently helmed the Holmdel Theatre Company's production of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST.  Other directing credits include stints at the New Jersey Repertory Company for productions of RAFT OF THE MEDUSA and the New Jersey premier of THE LARAMIE PROJECT.  He has also directed at Rutgers University (THE LARAMIE PROJECT) and The Center Playhouse (PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE).  He is happy to be back at Tri-State collaborating with Ian August on this year's production of THE SANTALAND DIARIES.  Thanks to Paul, Patricia, Liz, and the TAT Family.  And a very special thanks to frequent collaborator and friend Michael Gabiano for bringing me into the Santaland, and for his help with this years elfin adventure...Break legs in L.A....WHY???!!!
